The project developed three holistic solutions for a stream remediation program for a 2,000-foot urban stream corridor running through the Fayetteville campus of the University of Arkansas. Flooding, erosion, and groundwater pollution degrade surrounding campus and highway infrastructure. Each solution emulates the ecology of healthy riparian systems, avoiding conventional forced-water-management strategies. Aiming to increase ecological and urban services at the same time, the plan also includes transportation, housing, and recreation proposals for a 40-acre quadrant of the campus.
